MANUFAI born as a project on 2016 when I was doing my PhD. The research showed up promising results where artificial intelligence (AI) solves the problem of selecting the best welding sequence to minimize deformation.
I got inspired to solve this problem by the experience on the shofloor when I was quality and manufacturing engineer. Traditionally, the selection of the welding sequence is based on experience. It is a time-consuming task and does not always guarantee optimal results.
The company started operating formally on June 2018.
