Automatic weldable edges recognition
FreeCAD supports the most common formats (STEP, IGES, Inventor,..) After Importing a CAD this feature works with two clicks, one button extract all the edges on the model, and the second step is the automatic recognition of weldable edges. ​
This is just an optional feature, you can always define welds by using the edges on the model.​​
Trajectory length report
Trajectories can be used for multiple porpueses like welding, caulking, deburring and others.
The idea of this feature is to report the lenght of each trajectory and the total linear disntance wich is really helpful for quotations.
